DPC Cookie Use Enforcement Now Active!

Important now for website controllers to ensure their cookie/tracker compliance going forward. The DPC allowed 6 months to bring cookie use into the compliant space! That 6 month grace period has now lapsed. DATA LEX Consultancy strongly recommends relevant controllers consult with their website creators without delay to discuss and amend their websites as appropriate.

‘The DPC will allow a period of six months from the publication of this guidance for controllers to bring their products, including websites and mobile apps, into compliance, after which enforcement action will commence.”
